Service Manager
Role overview
Citygate Automotive are looking for a Service Manager to join the team at our team at our St Albans Commercial Vehicle Service Centre. As the Service Manager you will be reporting into and assisting the Divisional Aftersales Manager and will collaborate closely and assume delegated responsibilities to support the growth of the Aftersales operation.
Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as the Service Manager will be to:
- Lead a team of Service Advisors and Service Technicians.
- Supervise daily operations, including workload distribution, service scheduling, and customer interactions.
- Work with the Divisional Aftersales Manager to optimise the efficiency and performance of all departments within the Aftersales operation.
- Ensure a seamless, customer-centric operation that consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience.
- Apply a commercially-minded approach to identify and capitalize on opportunities for revenue growth.
- Set, track, and exceed performance targets to drive departmental success.

About You
As a Service Manager, you will ideally have the following skills and abilities:
- A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
- An excellent understanding of Health & Safety best practice. Excellent communication skills.
- Previous motor industry experience.
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of working in a sales environment and/or a customer facing role would be beneficial.
- To be able to maintain a safe and productive working environment at all times.
- You will need excellent customer service skills, in order to build a strong rapport with our customers.
- You will need to be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
